So let's get started shall we?

Feliz Navidad Card

I'm loving diagonals right now.
I stamped and embossed the woodgrain pattern from Woodgrain Backgrounder onto some dark gray cardstock
It gives it a little subtle texture that I'm adoring right now.
And a touch of the rustic.

The ornament from Ornate Ornaments is also embossed and then colored in.
Embossing it makes it easier to stay within the lines. Hah!
If you ever mass produce, this is a great way to maintain some sanity. ;-)

Merry Christmas Card

For this card, I wanted to try a whitewashed wood look.
I love the clean look of white.
And so embossing the wood background from Woodgrain Backgrounder in clear just gave my cardstock some much needed texture.
It's pretty subtle in the pic but fabulous in person.

I pulled the poinsettia from Big Blooms - Poinsettia and the sentiment comes from Ornate Ornaments.

Thanks for stopping by! Waltz on over to Bonnie to see more inspiration!

I like both of your backgrounds. The diagonal stripes are punchy. The faux wainscoting is restful. Neat ideas!

Both are just wonderful. Love the bold diagonals and super ornament on the first card. But I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of the poinsettia card!

The diagonals on your first card are really a great foundation for the ornament. I love how the second card looks a good deal like a wooden fence panel.

This is a GREAT idea! I just ordered my stamp set and can not wait to try this technique. Looks so much like a beautiful wood fence before the years dry it out!
