Bookends and Snow Globes

It's been awhile since I've updated.
Sometimes life just happens.
And other times, well, life sort of runs you over.
(In a good way)

I feel like I'm living in a snow globe at this point.
A snow globe that's been shaken up a bit.
So pretty, yet so chaotic all at the same time.

I wouldn't change it for the world.
But until the glitter settles,
updates to this blog will be "chaotic" as well.

So onto the card, the reason why most of you are here anyways.
Not to read my philosophical mumble jumble about snow globes.

Bookend Friends

I think some of you remember my "cop-out" card using a color combo from the Summer Card Camp Class.
I decided that a re-do was in order.
Because I'm not one to let a challenge defeat me.
(In card land or any other land)

So I decided that I'd minimize the white color in my card.
Add some patterned paper that I had been hoarding.
One piece of paper, while I liked the pattern, the colors didn't exactly match.
So I pulled out my handy dandy Copics and went to work on fixing that.
I'd recommend testing with a scrap piece of paper first.

I used the Bookends stamp set from Papertrey Ink, which I bought awhile ago...
with the intent to make bookmarks for Christmas gifts.
Yeah... pretty sure that isn't going to happen.
Especially now that I'm sitting here comparing my life to a snow globe.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Great card. I like the oolor combo. I have that set and haven't used it yet. Bad me.

I'm with you on the "life as a snowglobe" phenomenon.

Hope your life settles soon.

Sorry that your life has been chaotic, though I'm glad it's been a good way.

I don't think the card is a cop out at all. I think it's pretty darned nifty.

I also think it might be just the inspiration I need to use that PT stamp set that has never seen ink!
